At the session held on 24th March 2015, University of Rijeka Senate has made a decision about the establishment of the Centre for high throughput technologies, and has named prof. dr. sc. Sandra Kraljević Pavelić as head of the Centre. The head will mandate the assembly of the Centre Regulations. 

Department Alumna enrolled into a PhD program at EMBL

Former student of the Department, Tina Uroda, has been granted the enrollment into the PhD program on one of the most prestigious institutes in the world, European Molecular Biology Laboratory. Tina will work on the problematics of structural biology at the Grenoble outstation.

As part of equipping the Department of Biotechnology, arrived a new part of capital equipment. Among others: mass spectrometers, devices for proteomics and genomics, organic synthesis and cell biology.
